An extension and refurbishment project for an existing bungalow in Cornwall.

The new ground floor extension and first floor dormer provide a new open plan kitchen/dining/living space and first floor master suite.

The design maximises the buildings relationship with both the garden and the plots access to seaside views. By angling the ground floor extension we were able to direct the main living space so that it pointed towards the sea and also provide additional privacy from the neighbouring plot.

The angled roof and overhang of the first floor dormer provide natural privacy from the neighbours, whilst the roof of the ground floor extension, which extends out over the decking area, also provides a wonderful first floor balcony directly off the master bedroom. Perfect for enjoying that morning coffee overlooking the Cornish sea.
